10,000 Steps A Day: Week 22

Only four more weeks until I've reached the six month mark at which point I will be ending this. It's been very fun so far but with work and very soon college picking up, it will be too difficult to manage the 10,000 steps a day. Most recently I've found myself more and more walking around my flat to finish the last steps which I don't think is very genuine or natural. I don't really have a choice however because it's difficult to wind down and get to sleep if you have to go out and walk around town for a while before hand. This won't be the end of my blogging though, I'm thinking of starting to write about my weight, diet and exercise in more detail. I've been planning on joining a gym so I can exercise more vicariously in a shorter amount of time. I weighted myself for the first time in a few weeks and I'm actually pretty happy with the results. I haven't gained weight like I thought and I have actually lost a few pounds which is great.

10,000 Steps A Day: Week 21

I need to buy a new belt! I have no doubt that I haven't lost weight but because I've been eating much worse than usual. For some reason though my belt isn't holding my jeans up and I need to buy a smaller one. I'm currently in that phase where I don't want to weight myself because I'm kinda scared of what I'll see so I'd rather wait till I've been eating well and exercising properly for a few weeks. This is kinda an endless cycle though as you'd expect because you keep end up having set backs and go months without weighting yourself. I've been working the usual amount the past few weeks and sorta fallen into a routine which is okay. I either go for my walk before or after work which makes sense. I know that the key to losing weight and being healthier is always going to be portion control and changing my eating habits so I'm not kicking myself about a set back, it's not something that will change over night and with work over

10,000 Steps A Day: Week 20

Tough week this week, been really struggling with motivation not just to get up and walk but to keep doing this Blog. I know this is because I've started working and have so little time that it's just really tough to fit the walking in when I'm working all day. This is where a manual labour job would be beneficial but I struggle to find the energy for that so office environments are best for me. I'm still going though and I'm making an effort to go for my walks during the day rather than the evening after work. Recently I've been getting lifts home and having a whole extra hour at the end of my day is really making a difference and I don't want to pass that up. Another big factor that's stopping me from going on my walks is the heat. It's almost full on British summer which isn't really known for being much but it's really humid and for a fat guy who sweats a lot that is the worst. Diet is just kinda whatever is available at the moment,

10,000 Steps A Day: Week 19

Another week and another picture with my results! But this time I kinda messed up. So I assumed my steps were complete on Saturday the 6th but they weren't. I was 200 steps short of my 10,000. I don't see it as a big deal and I'm not that bothered by it, I mean, I know for a fact that I would of done those 200 steps walking around without my phone on me so that alone makes me feel better. Last week it was my birthday and with that came lots of bad food and lack of exercise. On top of that I've got to deal with starting a new job and finding a new routine to exercise, eat and do everything else you need to do in life. I'm really looking forward to getting this 10,000 steps thing done because I'm finding that I really just don't have the time any more. I'm going to be starting college soon as well so that's another big time consumer.  I'm having to write this blog update at 1.30am because I won't have time to write it tomorrow. I mean, I ha

10,000 Steps A Day: Week 18

I know this post is pretty late, later than last week but I have a pretty good excuse. Besides from working it's been my birthday. It's actually my birthday today, so I've been pretty busy with plans on what I'm doing and who I'm spending time with. This has impacted my diet pretty badly as I've just been cooking whatever has been the quickest and easiest and most often times that isn't going to be the healthy option.  Something that is annoying me about being active is the amount of wear I'm putting on my clothing and shoes. It used to be I'd buy a pair of shoes and they'd last years, same with my jeans but I purchased a pair of shoes just a few months ago and they've ripped already. This is probably more towards a manufacturer fault but it's still annoying. My jeans are constantly wearing on the thigh area as well which is annoying. This isn't an excuse to stop, don't get me wrong but yeah, just something to consider.  He
