10,000 Steps A Day: Week 4

I'm actually really surprised that I've made it. So I'm one of those people who starts things and never finishes it, I'm terrible for it. Usually I just give it and I might come back to it later but most likely it's doomed to never be finish. I think that fact that I've made it a week and I haven't been phased in the slightest by it is a good example of how much better It's made me feel. I haven't been nearly as lazy, I've been pro active, more energetic and just a lot more positive overall. This is clearly a more mental health aspect rather than physical so, the results will obviously differ from person to person. I'm still working on my diet, mainly trying to eat 3 meals a day during the week which are somewhat healthy/normal. On the weekend It's tough for me and I usually end up getting take-out, on these days I try to not eat anything other than the take-out and also eat healthier options on the menu. The results so far show that I&

10,000 Steps A Day: Week 3

I found this to be much easier than the last but I still had troubles. I've found that my ankles are starting to hurt whilst on the walk, I don't why this is, maybe because I'm speeding up or just the constant use which they're not used to. It's bearable though although it appears to be getting worse. Any marks on my feet have healed except for my little toe which has a big cut but it isn't noticeable when I'm walking. My diet has probably been the worst it has ever been this week. It was certainly avoidable but I ended up getting take-out 3 times. A new place opened up which is really popular and my family wanted to try it so I was treated to it, fair enough but they then went there again on Saturday which was a few days later. On top of this I went to Sams flat to play DnD which always involves take-out. I'm a very black and white person, I either go full on into something or none at all, which is obvious with the only drinking water and walking. So

10,000 Steps A Day: Week 2

The good, the bad, the gory. This pretty much describes the the past week, I've had a traumatic time with blisters on the back of my feet. I started getting them late last week so I got some plasters and thought nothing of it, but they got worse. My sister recommended these blister plasters which are great so I tried them and stupidly tore the plaster off after a day when I went to take a shower. This basically caused the back of my foot to have no skin, it was a complete mess. This meant that I couldn't wear my shoes to go outside and walk, I didn't want this to end my 10,000 steps though. This is a recurring problem for me and many people who are overweight, something comes up and It just sets you back, any progress made is lost. I had to walk in my house and the first day it wasn't too bad, I mean it was tiring because I was stood up for a lot longer but not walking quickly. Today my feet had healed enough for the shoes to not be a problem and I went for a long w

10,000 Steps A Day: Week 1

This was an interesting week, a few unexpected factors made it a lot more difficult than it should have been. If you want a prelude as to why I'm doing this then check out the week 0 post here . It was more difficult than I expected because after the first few days it lost its novelty. Everyday I walked the same route which got extremely boring but it's just the easiest route that I can do which will knock a considerable amount of steps off. Surprisingly I actually did manage to successfully walk 10,000 steps each day. About half way through I started to get a mark at the back of my right foot which then became a blister and just got worse, I thought this might put me out of the game and If I wasn't really trying to complete the 90 days I would have surely given up. I put plasters on it to try and prevent it from getting worse when I was walking which did help. Then, literally 2 days ago I caught a pretty bad cold which is horrible. I'm not someone who's ofte
