This was an interesting week, a few unexpected factors made it a lot more difficult than it should have been. If you want a prelude as to why I'm doing this then check out the week 0 post here. It was more difficult than I expected because after the first few days it lost its novelty. Everyday I walked the same route which got extremely boring but it's just the easiest route that I can do which will knock a considerable amount of steps off.
Surprisingly I actually did manage to successfully walk 10,000 steps each day. About half way through I started to get a mark at the back of my right foot which then became a blister and just got worse, I thought this might put me out of the game and If I wasn't really trying to complete the 90 days I would have surely given up. I put plasters on it to try and prevent it from getting worse when I was walking which did help. Then, literally 2 days ago I caught a pretty bad cold which is horrible. I'm not someone who's often sick so I don't deal with it very well.

Here's proof that I completed each day. After each walk I do feel mentally better and just more energetic. When I'm constantly having to think of ways to get more steps it, it's making me more willing to go out to the shop for someone or join other people on trips out. I would have an aching pain in my legs from sitting on my chair for too long which has since vanished. I'm very happy with the results already, I feel skinnier although the scales don't really show that. I'm hesitant about the future though, the whole point of this is to try and help change my lifestyle, to be more active and I'm worried I'll just go back to being sat down all day after.
I'm eating more than usual, only slightly but I kinda expected it with more activity. The past week I haven't really eaten healthy but I didn't try either, this is something I'm going to try in the coming weeks when I've got the walking under control. The results of my walking appear a little inconsistent with the distance a calories I've burnt. This could be affected by many factors though so I'm not worried that it's too inaccurate.
I walked with my phone in my hands for a few minutes and it did was very accurate with my steps. It was actually a little scary how accurate it was. That's it for week 1, I'm still going strong although a little damaged, will be back with an update next week.
